A meeting of members of the Public Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized by the Ecology Movement as a part of the Project “Promotion and monitoring of educational reforms in the Kyrgyz Republic” was held on August 28, 2015 in Bishkek Financial and Economic Academy. During the meeting members of the KR MES PC and experts discussed actions on how to draw up operational plan of the KR MES PC. PC members developed a draft operational plan of the KR MES PC for 2015-2016 by being divided into 3 groups according to priorities.
The draft operational plan of the KR MES PC for 2015-2016 is based on three main directions:
- Raising of public awareness of the KR MES Public Council, working with mass media and with web-sites of the KR MES PC.
- Monitoring of the content of education for purposes of compliance with the objectives of Education for Sustainable Development.
- Analysis of how efficiently financial resources are being used and fight against corruption in the system of education and science.
Participants also discussed such important matters as:
- Meeting of PC concerning issues on water supply, sanitary and safety of schools;
- Meeting of PC with authors of the republican test in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- Preschool education issues
